Computer Woes....

Lately I have had such a struggle to use my computer!! I always find a little pink on it doing something. The girls have Macs at school and now they can manipulate around the computer so fast and Paige watches them and can do it too! It is great but now they always want to be on the computer and I cant get my work done!! I guess I should train them to do my work....problem solved!!!

Elbow Valley Falls

Mom and Dad were up visiting and we took a day trip out to Elbow Valley in Kananskis. It was a beautiful day! Paige followed Grandpa around the whole day! She loved being with him....reading his car magazine and chatting on the picnic blanket. The girls loved playing in the rocks near the river and I was sure someone was going in...but only Emily's foot fell in so all was good. It was a fun day and so nice to get back outside again!! We are like bears coming out of hibernation! Thanks mom and dad for the fun visit!!!!

Grandma Smiths Farm!!!

We had a free weekend and decided we would use it to go visit Grandma Smith on her farm in Carmangay Alberta! It was finally feeling more springy and we had a great time! We were able to get some of her yard work done for her...which the girls loved...using all the gardening tools! Then we went for a hike...and Mike showed us all his childhood memories from the farm. Then we pulled out the ball and bat and spent hours hitting the ball around! Grandma had cupcakes for us to decorate and they turned out so beautiful and were fun to eat! When the girls were exhausted and it was time for bed...they were so excited to find 3 snuggly bears on the bed!! So cute! We had a great weekend...and look forward to more visits soon! Thank you Grandma Smith!!

Entrepeneurs...

So today I was busy billing for Mike after school and told the girls to find something to occupy themselves with. I heard them busy crafting at the kitchen table and then they all left and went outside. A few minutes later they ran back inside so excited because they had made some money!! I was shocked and asked them just what exactly they had done to make money. They had sold some pictures! They each made a quarter!! Oh my...lucky neighbours...now have some art by the Dunham Girls!! Anyone else interested can contact Emily!! LOL!!

Dancing with the Stars Wanna Be...

Ok...Ive been indulging this season and actually sit down to watch Dancing with the Stars each Monday night (tho my boss says I should be using that time to work for him). I usually cant tune into the results show..but usually find out pretty quickly who gets the boot. So that being said....I have to say...Im cheering for Apolo...he can sure dance!! A close second choice is Joey. How I wish I could dance like this...it looks like so much fun!! Any other Dancing with the stars wanna be's out there?? Soooooooo I was so excited to find this on the website!!!!!!! I can dance in the privacy of my own home!! Next time you see me....watch out...I may break out into a Paso Doble!!
No partner needed...hahahahaha...this is going to be hilarious!!!

Florida Slideshow

Okay...I finally had a second to do a slideshow just on our days in Florida! Sorry..the show got a bit long....I guess I just take way too many pictures. We had so much fun going back to Florida...we have so many fun memories there. Thanks to our friends who made such an effort to see us! It wouldnt have been half the fun without you there!

Flicka!!

The girls and I were on our own this weekend. So we invited friends over and watched Flicka! Emily and I read the book together and we couldnt wait to see the show! We loved it! I loved this song by Tim Mcgraw (also in the movie) called My Little Girl!! So cute! Im now going to call my girls little 'Flicka's'...you will have to see the show to see what it means!

Disney Cruise!

Well we are back! Sorry for the delay in posting. We had a great trip to Florida. The weather was so perfect!!! We were busy every day and had a ball! The disney cruise was amazing and did not disappoint...but what more do you expect...it is DISNEY after all. The girls were so surprised when one night we were eating dinner at the pool...and Grandma and Grandpa showed up! They came on the cruise with us which was so fun!! I think they even had fun!! I will post a slideshow when I get more time...but Im having technical difficulties. We had a blast after the cruise visiting with friends, eating at our favorite places, visiting our FAV beaches and shopping at our favorite outlet mall! Paige asked after we got there...Dad...why dont we LIVE here??? I had to laugh...I was secretly thinking the same thing!! It was a great trip and so fun to revisit!!!!!!!!!

BON VOYAGE!!!!!!!!

Well...we are madly trying to get ready to head off to Florida! But ready or not we will not miss that plane! The girls are so excited....they cannot wait! They cannot wait to see their friends and our favorite places and especially to go on a cruise! We are all ready for some rest and relaxation and some fun together!!! We are leaving with a forecast of snow and hope that by the time we get back spring will have arrived in Calgary!!!BON VOYAGE!!!

Its Mike's Birthday!! But poor guy...has to work! He'll be wizzing around the ICU looking after 25+ patients and hardly have time to breathe...let alone enjoy his birthday! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Hope your day is great!!!

Thank You Auntie Christine!!!

A Big Thank you to Auntie Christine!!! She volunteered to come babysit one night and last night we desperately needed her as Mike and I had a hot date!! Ok...well not so hot...we went to an exciting billing seminar! But we both really needed to go and Christine was so great to come watch the girls for us! It is a long way for her to come and we appreciated her thoughtfulness so much!! The girls had a ball, I just hope they didnt overwhelm Christine! Thanks so much Christine!!

Skiing Big Mountain Montana

Mike had a weekend off...so we headed to the cabin in Montana. We took the girls to Big Mountain and had our best ski day yet. It was perfect! Best of all the sun was out and it was WARM...my kind of ski day! The girls found a path thru the trees with jumps and turns and bumps. They loved it...we would all go down in a chain! Paige would yell WEEE WEEEE all the way down! It was one of those days you would not trade for anything! Priceless!

Framing is Almost Done!!!!

The house is almost done!! It is so fun to see it nearing completion (well...the framing stage anyway)! They should be adding finishing touches today and installing windows and doors!! I am winding down on the interior selections and after months of deliberation and decisions...I can only hope and cross my fingers that it all comes together ok. The other day I chose a paint color from a tiny 2" square and told them to paint my whole house that color! How scary is that??? We have a possession date of MID-JULY!! We are just so excited! This date works out great because we are being kicked out of our place in July so we are hoping that the timing works out. I guess if it doesnt...we will pitch a tent outside till they let us in!!

Framing the house

We have been so excited in the past couple of weeks to watch the house be framed. We have never walked thru our home, we have only studied the blue prints. So every day has been exciting to see the developments and to see the house in 3D! Today they are framing the interior walls of the 2nd story and I cant wait to go back and walk thru! The roof should be going on in the next few days! Im sure our workers think I am stalking them...so today I dropped off hot chocolate and timbits. It has been snowing and cold for the whole framing stage. Poor guys. The girls have been so excited to finally see what the house looks like. Yesterday we timed our visit perfectly and they saw their bedroom windows go up!

A Sunny Day at COP

We decided to head out to the slopes and take the girls skiing. Mike had to work trauma tonight but we had time to go to Canada Olympic Park (formly Paskapoo). This hill is perfect for the girls right now...and they could go on their own where ever they wanted to ski! Hallie and Peter met us there and so did Paige's little school friend Ashton and his dad Quinn. They had a ball all together and these little mini's did so great! It was a fun day...and I think we even got some sun!!!

After just visiting Phoenix, I looked around and noticed how clean all the vehicles were. There were some that were complaining that their vehicles were dirty...I laughed knowing what my vehicle currently looked like. So I had to post it...

I had a quick trip to Phoenix over the weekend!! It was so fun to finally meet Baby Ben...he is adorable and soooooo good! What a sweetie...and so fun to cuddle! I also got to go to Chantelle's baptism...she is such a sweetie and it was so nice to be able to go and visit with family at the BBQ that night. Thanks for having me! Then it was Ben's baby blessing on Sunday, he looked so cute and the blessing was beautiful...we look forward to watching him grow!! It was a fun weekend...so fun to see all the family! The girls were jealous that I got to go and next time I will bring them with me to visit all their cousins!! So good to see everyone and thanks for having me!!!

Happy 4th Birthday PAIGE!!!!!

Paige had a very fun birthday and was so excited to finally be 4!!! She had a ball with family and friends at her party and thank you to everyone for all the cute, fun gifts! She was thrilled with all of them!!

Great Day for a BIKE RIDE!!!

Well...Mike was on activity for family home evening last night. I was thinking he would choose a game or something...but he chooses to go shovelling snow! So we all bundle up and head out to shovel a bunch of sidewalks. Oh and did I mention that it has been snowing now for 7 days straight?? So we are all out shovelling and Paige sees her bike and decides its a great day for a bike ride! LOL! She didnt get too far and couldnt figure out why she just couldnt get the bike going. It was cute.

We were all nice and shovelled last night...but it is still snowing so we need to head back out!!!

Christmas came a little late at our house! Finally, after 3 years of sitting on the blob (those of you who have visited know what the blob is), we have someplace (well a few places) to sit!!! Our house was feeling very empty and within 20 minutes it was FULL! I didnt even have room to fit the two chairs! The furniture was chosen to fit our new house...so it doesnt quite all fit in this house..but it will do for now!

PS This post is for Mike who is working at the hospital and wont get to sit on his new couch for a few more days!!! Thanks Mike...I love it!!

7 Little Groundhogs

I went to pick up Paige from BeeHappy School today and found 7 cute little groundhogs! They were singing a groundhog song. So cute! Im not sure if the shadow was seen or not ( I doubt the groundhog stuck his head out of the ground in Calgary as it snowed all day long) but Im sure we have at least 6 more weeks of winter if not many more!!!!
